Seismic maps of the far side of the Sun have proven their capability to locate and track medium-to-large active regions at the non-visible hemisphere. Waves that travel all the way from the far side to the front side carry information of the magnetic perturbations that they encounter. The seismic holography technique makes use of the observation of waves at the front side of the Sun and compares them to a model to map areas of strong magnetic field in the far-side. Recent improvements to the these maps include a more accurate determination of the location of the active region, automatic highlight of candidates and calibration in terms of the magnetic field strength. We discuss here strategies to include extra information in the seismic far-side maps, such as realistic error estimations and area determination, in order to use them as input to photospheric flux transport models.
