It is know that some active regions are always producing solar activity but there are some active regions that are not producing any solar activity. In order to understand the underline physics, we have employed a three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic Data-Driven Active Region Evolution Model (DDAREM) to analyze the physical properties of AR11069 (productive) and AR 11084 (non-productive) regions recently observed by SDO/HMI. In this preliminary report, we present the evolutions of the magnetic non-potential parameters, current helicity, electric field pattern, magnetic energy, Poynting flux, and magnetic topology for these two active regions. By comparison of the physical properties of these two distinct regions, we expect to reveal the physical mechanisms for the productive and non-productive active regions.
