High resolution electronographic plates of M87 and 3C 273 jets are presented. In M87, new features are found, showing evidences for oscillations starting at the very beginning of the jet, for a continuous stream along the jet in between the knots and for a tail following the orientation of the double radio source. 3C 273 plates show large-scale oscillations with several knots and extensions inward and outward. Radio and optical structures match perfectly in M87, while major differences appear in 3C 273.
