The Virtual Solar Observatory (VSO) has been integral in helping to provide a framework for the distribution of SDO data in the US and Europe. The VSO has also been working hard in its traditional role of providing search and access capabilities for SDO data, and hiding the complexities from the user. This talk will cover both accessing SDO data via the web, and via the VSO IDL client where substantial improvement has been made to enable the users to search and select data in very intuitive ways. Additionally the VSO is integrated with the Heliophysics Event Knowledgebase (HEK) and the Helioviewer projects. The VSO also provides a flexible API that allows scientists to write their own code to interact with the VSO in a variety of languages. The integration of the distribution, and search, selection and download functionalities will allow the VSO to provide the fastest possible access for Solar Physicists to SDO data.
