The gravitational-lens-distorted object PG 1115 + 080 is characterized on the basis of observations obtained using the large-field camera at the Cassegrain focus of the 3.6-m Canadian-French-Hawaiian Telescope during 1982-1983. The data are presented in photographs, graphs, maps, and tables and discussed. The UBV photometry indicates a global dimming from 16.04 mag in 1981 (Baudrand et al., 1982) to 16.62 + or - 0.03 mag (in V) and places an upper limit of V = 22 mag on the theoretical fifth image and the deflecting galaxy. The geometrical structure proposed by Young et al. (1981) is confirmed.
