Scientific paper

Measured mesospheric and thermospheric water vapor mixing ratios are
compared to theoretical model predictions. It is found that the large
scatter of the measured mixing ratio profiles is mainly due to the
natural variability of the H2O concentration. Individual profiles
exhibit fluctuations not predicted by models.
