The mass ejection events of corona in the form of loop transients were discovered with white light photographs of the solar corona from Skylab. The author develops a magnetic flux tube model, in which a solar coronal loop is the tube of a magnetic force line. The forces driving the coronal loops are produced by a nonhomogeneous distribution of longitudinal magnetic fields in the magnetic flux tube. Numerical results of the model are compared with Skylab observations in the years 1973-1974.
