The [O III] 5007 and 4363 Å emission lines from the Seyfert nucleus of NGC 1068 have been observed at a resolution of ≡60 km s-1 in order to determine the [O III] (5007+4959)/4363 Å electron temperature-density sensitive ratio. Gaussian fitting of the [O III] 5007 and 4363 Å profiles provides this ratio for eight resolved components. The very broad (FWHM ≡ 1800 km s-1) component, first reported by Pelat and Alloin (1980), is confirmed and appears to be composed of material of electron density in the range 9×104 to 5×105 cm-3, if the electron temperature is ≡15,000K.
