A set of similar one-dimensional cyclic mechanisms is considered, the only difference between the mechanisms being the setting of the initial phase. It is proved that, with the exception of certain special cases, the mechanisms are mutually synchronized as discrete time approaches infinity. Applications to astrophysical and geophysical processes are examined.
