The period change of DO Cas is discussed based on the published photoelectric times of minima. Although the O-C values of the times of minima for the system are widely scattered even within short time intervals, the orbital period of DO Cas shows sinusoidal variation with small amplitude of about 0d.:0019 and period of about 18y.7. These cyclic variations of DO Cas, orbital period may be explained by one of two possible mechanisms: the light-time effect of an unseen third body, or a magnetic effect on the convective secondary star proposed recently by Applegate (1992).
