Spectroscopic data gathered on the object PU Vul at 44 A/m dispersion in the 3800-5000 A range from 1981-83 are reported, together with calculated magnitudes and radial velocities. The radial velocity varied from 25 km/sec to -40 km/sec and returned to positive velocities over the interval. The change to a negative velocity occurred simultaneously with the enhancement of Ti II and Sc II lines, followed by brightening and deepening of the hydrogen lines. The Zr II, Ce II and S II lines also became stronger and the Fe I line faded. The object, in effect, changed from an F8 to an F3-4 classification. The possibility that the changes are attributable to the injection of new matter into the stellar envelope of a binary companion is noted.
