Jupiter Atmosphere: Ccd Images, Jupiter Atmosphere: Impact Phenomena

CCD images of SL-9/Jupiter impacts were taken on July '94 by 1.4 m Ruths Reflector at Merate Observatory and on August '94 by C14 Reflector at Legnano Observatory. A comparison of images obtained almost 10 days apart, clearly shows a spreading in East/West direction of the black plumes in the lower atmosphere but, also, a displacement of the upper portion of the plumes in South-North direction driven by upper atmospheric winds.
