A system for processing recorded astronomical spectra is described. It consists of a modernized Zeiss Rapid GII microphotometer with the ancillary equipment and, incorporated into this system, an on-line MERA 305 minicomputer with its peripheral devices. The minicomputer has 8K bytes core memory and 8 bit words. In the photodetector head, the selenium photovoltaic cell was replaced by a photodetector subassembly containing three independent silicon cells, allowing three channel operation. Programs for real time recording and spectrum processing, and for reducing spectra to the continuum level were written.
