A library of 4500 photographic plates of objects observed by the UK Schmidt telescope is described. The 1.2 m telescope was designed for a very deep photographic survey of the southern sky. The library stores the original plates and makes copies. Originals of nonsurvey or survey rejects can be borrowed for long term measuring, but the library also has measuring facilities.
