The results of observations of the circumstellar maser emission in the 1.35-cm water vapor line of the variable M-giant W Hya are presented. The observations were carried out in 1980-1998 on the RT-22 radio telescope in Pushchino. A comparison with the data on W Hya at optical wavelengths and in other molecular lines is performed. The H_2O line flux variations correlate with the visual light curve. The structure of the H_2O emission line profiles of W Hya is discussed. The H_2O maser emission of W Hya has a distinct flaring character with a flare recurrence period of 0.8-1.8 years. The activity cycle length varies in a sine-wave-like manner with a superperiod of about 15-16 years. A time delay of the H_2O maser emission maxima with respect to visual maxima was observed. The value of this delay is not constant but smoothly varies between 0 and 2.1 P (P is the period of stellar activity). To explain the effects observed, a model of shock-wave pumping of the H_2O maser is considered.
