Multigroup radiation hydrodynamics is used to calculate the explosion of
SN 1987A. The effects of spectral lines and broadening on the opacity
are taken into account. The UBV fluxes are predicted without assuming
equilibrium of the spectrum. More stringent constraints are imposed on
the explosion energy and the presupernova radius.
