Theoretical, observational, and 3D MHD simulation studies suggest the usefulness of models of solar wind fluctuations that consist of two or more components, each of which possesses a certain symmetry property. Here we present an extension of the method used by Bieber et al. to estimate the relative admixture of slab and quasi-two-dimensional fluctuations in a two-component model. In the present case spectral information is preserved, and the method permits extraction of three underlying component spectra from the observed signal. These correspond to a slab spectrum, a two-dimensional spectrum, and a spectrum of ``structures,'' which may be, e.g., velocity shears or pressure-balanced structures. This approach is expected to be useful for comparison of observational data and analysis of numerical simulations.
