Intermediate-resolution (2.5 A) spectra of the newly found quasar HS 1946+7658 (z = 3.02) have been obtained in the region between 4570 and 8000 A. The wavelengths and equivalent widths of 86 absorption lines were measured. Three absorption-line systems at zabs = 3.049, 2.843, and 1.738 reported by Hagen et al. (1992) were confirmed. We have newly detected absorption lines of C II, N V, Si II, and Si III in the first system and those of C II and Si II in the second system. Fe II and Mg II lines were confirmed in the third system. The C IV and SI IV doublets in the first system are saturated while they are not in the second system. Many weak absorption lines remain unidentified in the region longward of the Ly alpha emission peak at 4920 A.
