Beginning a program of scientific revision of archaeoastronomical sites in Veneto, the author studies the "Motte di Castello di Godego", an earthwork which twenty years ago was dated as Bronze Age monument with astronomical significance. The author expresses many doubts about this theory and produces a XVIII century's map where the earthwork has a shape quite different from the actual one which is derived only from canalization works.
