New features revealed on the continuum spectra between about 2 to 30 keV as a result of Ginga LAC (Large Area proportional Counter) observations of a large sample of X-Ray bright active galaxies, mainly Seyferts, are discussed. In particular, an emission line (or line complex) near 6.4 keV and a spectral 'hump' above about 10 keV are common properties of the sample, while a number of sources also show evidence for a 'warm' iron K absorption edge. The most likely interpretation of the emission line and hump is by reprocessing of the primary X-ray power law in near neutral (or cold) matter, within the active nucleus and probably associated with the primary accretion process. The depth of the K absorption edge indicates a substantial column density of highly ionized matter in the line of sight to several active galactic nuclei, including some with otherwise 'bare' Seyfert 1 nuclei. Repeated Ginga observations of two 'typical' X-ray bright Seyferts, MCG-6-30-15 and NGC 5548, allowed the variability of the above spectral features to be studied for the first time, providing a direct measure of the geometry and scale of the X-ray reprocessing matter in these objects. Rosat observations are beginning to yield improved definition of the discrete spectral component ('soft excess') often dominant below about 1 keV.
