The MHD stability of dense plasma disks in the magnetospheres of hot white dwarfs and rotating planets is investigated. The equilibrium radial distribution of plasma concentration is found for plasma disks at the threshold of the instability with respect to small-scale MHD perturbations. The effects of finite ion Larmor radius and inhomogeneity of the perturbations along the magnetic field on the radial concentration profile are taken into account. The influence of the finite thickness of the plasma disk on the plasma distribution over the magnetic shells is studied. The results obtained are compared with the experimental data for the Jovian plasma sheet.
