The results of experimental investigations are presented for electric charging effects surrounding projectiles and their wakes, which can imitate hypersonic atmospheric reentry of meteoroids. The charges were measured by ballistic tracing with special sensors. The experimental data of electric charges were obtained for conditions, materials, different pressures and Mach numbers. Numerical results were obtained for gasdynamic parameters and projectile surface temperatures. The results give knowledge about electrical processes in hypersonic flow near meteoroids and in wakes.
