It is suggested that some parameters of orbital eccentricities are preferable due to the resonance of orbital and axial rotations, when the ratio of the angular velocity of the satellite at periastron to its average angular velocity is an integer. Corresponding maxima are found in the distributions of eccentricities derived from catalogs of orbits of visual and spectroscopic binaries. If real, they can be explained by the interaction of components during the early stages of their formation.
