The phase resolved spectral analysis of the X-ray emission from the Crab pulsar, based on several long exposure BeppoSAX observations, shows that spectra are continuously steepening from soft to hard X-rays. We show that a two component model is able to explain the phase evolution of the spectral index and the changes of the pulse shape with the energy. We used this model to extrapolate the main features of the Crab pulsed emission at energies above 1 MeV, where INTEGRAL observations are expected to provide high quality data useful to test the model.
