Narrow-band observations of V1357 Cyg in the continuum near lambda 4795, and of AM Her in the continuum near lambda 6370 and in H-alpha emission, were made during 1977-1978. Microvariability of the V1357 Cyg system was observed on 1978 Aug 16/17 (JD 43737) and might represent an eclipse of the 09.7 Iab star by the accretion disk. The H-alpha emission intensity in AM Her correlates with phase of the 3h.1 period; minimum H-alpha intensity coincides with minimum intensity of the continuum at lambda 6370. The continuum light curve of AM Her was found to vary strongly from cycle to cycle.
