The paper discusses the free precession of slowly rotating neutron stars, idealized as rigidly rotating, fully general relativistic bodies. It is shown that, in the limit of slow rotation, general relativistic gravity produces no changes whatsoever in the classical Euler equations of rigid body motion. The proof is sketched in the body of the paper in language accessible to people who know only a little general relativity. An appendix justifies some assertions in the proof by giving an algorithm for generating slowly and rigidly rotating solutions of Einstein's equations from non-rotating, static solutions.
