Scintillation-Cerenkov gamma detectors aboard Cosmos 461 measured albedo gamma-radiation with energy not less than 80 MeV during 1971-1972. Gamma ray intensity was measured as a function of nadir angle in the equatorial and polar regions; the height profile of gamma fluxes was estimated. Geomagnetic effects on the counting rate of the radiation was determined and the energy spectrum was analyzed. Data are used to estimate upper bounds of cosmic gamma intensity and of solar cosmic ray fluxes.
