The separation of the radio continuum emission distribution of M33, observed at 6.2 cm, into thermal and nonthermal components is the basis of the present comparison of the distribution of each component with the distributions of OB stars, SNRs, and H I (upon smoothing to the same resolution of 2.6 arcmin). It is found that the absorption in H-alpha towards eight H II regions shows a radial decrease of 0.055 + or - 0.004 mag/arcmin. While the nonthermal emission is correlated with dark areas, and is enhanced on the gradients in the distribution of OB stars, maxima in the nonthermal emission are not coincident with maxima in the distribution of detected SNRs. This is consistent with the assumption that the relativistic electrons originate in SNRs, but diffuse away from their places of origin into regions of strong magnetic field coupled to regions rich in dust and gas.
