Observations of the molecular cloud complex associated with the S252 HII were obtained. Its central portion consists of two fragments which contain a CO bright spot associated with a compact radio continuum source and an optical emission knot, and an H2O maser source was discovered nearly coincident with the most intense of the CO spots. CO observations indicate that the fragment containing the maser source is a region of enhanced molecular column density of which half is contained within an elongated narrow ridge. It is suggested that the enhanced column density of molecular gas within this ridge represents material swept up into a compressed layer from a once more uniform cloud by pressure sources associated with NGC 2175. The H2O maser source and three compact continuum sources are located within or close to the high-density ridge. The relationship of the molecular cloud to the Gem OB1 association and to the individual compact continuum sources within the complex is also discussed.
