An Hα absorption line profile of 16 Cyg B obtained with high S/N ratio is shown to agree well with the solar Hα profile, confirming that both stars have identical temperatures. Model calculations by Kurucz (1979) predict the observed Hα wings of the Sun correctly; lack of agreement in the core of Hα is probably due to non-LTE effects.
