The linear-theory of radical pulsation stability for low-helium Delta Scuti variable models of 1.0 to 2.5 solar masses is investigated to see if metallicism and pulsation can occur simultaneously. Seven stars including HR 3265, HR 421 and Delta Del are examined and the red and blue edges of the pulsation instability strip, which is about half as wide as with normal helium abundance, are estimated. A modified linear theory program is studied where the envelope mass is divided into 195 zones with special fine zoning temperature steps less than 6% for the hydrogen ionization zone. Results show that pulsation and metallicism can occur on the red side of the pulsation strip in a temperature range of 200-500 K.
