H-alpha profile changes in the spectrum of Kappa Orionis, B0.5 Ia, are determined from coude plates at 12.7 A/mm dispersion. The double-peaked-absorption-plus-central-emission core shows noticeable variations, even over periods of one day. The line appears to vary also in the extension of the wings. The self-reversal may provide evidence for the presence of hot regions surrounding the star photosphere.
