Optical, radio and infrared observations of the optical nebula S235A have been made. The radio data alone imply a single excitation center of at least one B0 star. The 2-4 micron spectrum centered on the 2.2 micron point source coincident with the H II region center is consistent with radiation from a hot star surrounded by a hot circumstellar gas envelope, with additional free-free radiation from the gas and thermal radiation from hot emitting dust within the compact H II region. In addition, a strong unidentified 3.28 micron emission feature is very prominent in the spectrum. Maps of the nebula at 2.2 micron (continuum) and in the 3.28 micron feature have been made with 11 arc sec apertures. The 3.28 micron feature distribution does not agree in detail with the dust distribution. A point source (possible protostar) is close to an optically visible dust lane, in which the compact radio region and associated exciting source are probably embedded. A visual extinction of about 10 mag to this exciting star is deduced
