Microquasars are black hole X-ray binaries with a pair of collimated jets that are likely coupled physically to the underlying accretion flows. In this dissertation presentation, the selected results of my work are presented, which aim at understanding the spectral energy distribution (SED) of microquasars. A number of important issues are examined, including the roles of the jets and accretion flows, spectral state transitions and hysteresis, and radio/X-ray correlation. We discuss the implications of the results.
