We analytically show that the signature of ambipolar diffusion (AD) in ISM should be observable even with an angular resolution much larger than the AD scales. We study the turbulent velocity dispersion spectra of the coexistent ions and neutrals, and show that the observed difference between the spectra is consistent with our analysis. Our study suggests that ion and neutral turbulent energies should dissipate differently in the AD range. We also use these observations to evaluate the strength of the plane-of-the-sky component of the embedded magnetic field in a completely novel way.
