All pulsar wind nebulae display X-ray spectra that are steeper than their radio spectra, thus requiring spectral breaks. Such breaks can arise from a variety of effects, such as synchrotron aging of the particles, inherent structure in the injected particle spectrum, or sudden changes in the pulsar energy input. Efforts to probe the optical and UV spectra are severely hampered by extinction, making the infrared band critical for the interpretation of spectral structure in PWNe. In addition, this band provides the opportunity to identify cool material being swept up by the nebulae. Here we describe results from a study of PWNe with the Spitzer Space Telescope. In particular, we report on the broadband spectrum of 3C 58 and on the discovery of a shell of emission surrounding G54.1+0.3.
