Driftscans from Palomar-QUEST (PQ; http://palquest.org/) synoptic sky survey continue to yield transients in real-time which are reported also in real-time through VOEventNet (http://voeventnet.caltech.edu). Here we provide an update on the software filters that select/deselect objects based on certain criteria and shorten the list of candidates from the initially flagged candidate transients. We also provide an update of the work on
quantifying the variability of quasars, blazars, as well as various classes of Galactic sources, by combining the large number of PQ scans with other existing data sources federated in the Virtual Observatory environment. Finally, we provide results based on recent photometric and spectroscopic follow-up of PQ transients. The PQ survey is partially supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF).
