The light curves of type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) have profound implications in cosmology, specifically in measuring the rate of expansion of the universe. In order to interpret the SNe Ia distance luminosity relationship correctly, we require a robust understanding of the explosion and subsequent evolution. SN light curves are powered by the decay of radioactive 56Ni to 56Co, which decays to stable 56Fe by the release of gamma ray photons and positrons. As the SN ejecta expands and cools the spectrum becomes increasingly redder, requiring monitoring of the luminosity to extend into the infrared. SN2006D is one of a handful of SNe Ia to be observed at late times in the visible through near infrared. We present a photometric light curve using B,V,R,I data from Super-LOTIS, Bok, Bigelow, and Mayall telescopes, and observations in J,H,K bands obtained with Bigelow and Mayall.
