The Spitzer Space Telescope, with its very high sensitivity, revealed a new type of objects called "Very Low Luminosity Objects (VeLLOs), which
were considered as starless cores before the Spitzer observations, in low mass star forming regions. Two potential explanations for the VeLLOs are 1) proto-brown dwarfs and 2) objects in a quiescent phase of the episodic accretion process. The processes associated with the two formation scenarios differ significantly in thermal history so that the chemical distribution must be a crucial discriminator between the two scenarios. Here, we present the chemical evolution in an episodic accretion model to show that the episodic accretion can explain the molecular observations in some VeLLOs such as IRAM 04191, which shows a strong outflow.
