In late 2005 The Chandra X-ray Observatory made 7 separate observations of a region in the Carina Nebula over a 2 month period using the ACIS detector in gratings mode. Surrounding the principal target are some 51 stars, most spectrally unclassified, many of which exhibit the telltale signs of X-ray flaring in pre-main-sequence stars. Preliminary results for a sample of five of these stars indicate the presence of strong isolated flares. We discuss the variable properties of a sample of sources utilizing the Bayesian Block method. Additionally, we relate spectral properties to variability for our sample. This work was supported by NASA contract NAS8-39073.
