We will present an investigation of the systemic radial velocity distribution of cataclysmic variable stars (CVs). We have critically mined the astrophysical literature published until 2007 September, resulting in a dataset of 308 systemic radial velocities found using emission and/or absorption lines. From these data, we find the solar motion and velocity ellipsoid parameters for three groups: (1) all CVs, (2) nonmagnetic CVs (dwarf novae and UX UMa novalike variables), and (3) 66 magnetic CVs (AM Her/Polar stars and DQ Her/Intermediate Polar stars). We find the kinematics of CVs to be consistent with a moderately old disk population.
