Transition Probabilities: Antimony
Scientific paper
Experimental transition probabilities for 32 lines with origin in the 5p26s configuration of neutral Sb have been determined. Relative values have been obtained from measurements of emission-line intensities in a laser-produced plasma and in a hollow-cathode discharge. For the laser-produced plasma measurements the experiment was carried out with several Sn-Sb alloys of Sb content lower than 2% in order to have an optically thin plasma. The results were placed on an absolute scale by using experimental lifetime values from the literature. Comparison between previously published theoretical data and present experimental values and calculations has been made.
