The BL Lac object (blazar) 1ES2344+514 was observed in a low emission state in 2007 with the VERITAS stereoscopic array of four imaging air Cherenkov telescopes. The measured gamma-ray rate was substantially varying with the mean rate corresponding to 10% of the Crab Nebula flux. The statistical significance of the gamma-ray signal substantially exceeds a 5σ level. These observations of 1ES2344+514 enable measurement of a high quality spectrum of very high-energy gamma rays. The analysis results and theoretical implications will be presented at the symposium.
