The GIRAFFE spectrograph is unique in providing the integral field spectroscopy of 15 distant galaxies at the same time. It has been successfully implemented at the second VLT unit within the FLAMES facility. We present GIRAFFE observations of 32 emission line galaxies at 0.4 < z < 0.7, acquired during the Guaranteed Time Observation of the Paris Observatory. Our analysis shows that selecting a sample at random among field emission line galaxies, would lead to only ˜40% of rotating disks, those which can only be used to establish a proper Tully Fisher relation. Using 3D spectroscopy, the resulting TF relation in the K band at z ˜ 0.55 shows no evidence for any evolution, the same effect is observed in the B band. We find that all the previous evolution claimed in the Tully Fisher relation could be related to instrumental effects.
