Spectrophotometric observations of CH Cyg were carried out in the 3300-7500-A wavelength range with 50-A resolution during 1980-1982. The ultraviolet emission peaked in spring 1982, but the bolometric luminosity of the ultraviolet source did not exceed 10 percent that of the star when in its quiescent phase. Estimates of the energy output do not rule out the possibility of explaining the CH Cyg phenomenon by the model of a single giant star having a bright hot spot in its atmosphere.
