The field equations of the scale-invariant theory of gravity are reformulated, through algebraic manipulation, in a form in which their physical meaning becomes more apparent. The new equations which are much simpler algebraically than previous presentations, suggest a straightforward astrophysical test of the theory based on mass loss from the stars. The results could be applied to star clusters, galaxies, and clusters of galaxies.
