Interstellar silicon isotopes having relative abundances equal to those in the solar system are indicated by measurements of interstellar silicon monozide, modifying the results of a previous study (Wolff, 1980) which had suggested a different interstellar value on the assumption that the observed SiO spectra were optically thin. It is concluded that the low (Si-28)O/(Si-29)O line intensity ratios measured in the previous study represent an underestimate of the underlying abundance ratios.
