The French SIGNE experiments aboard the Soviet Venera probes allows a spectral analysis with a time resolution of 250 ms. From a study of the intense gamma-ray bursts of November 4 and 19, 1978, evidence is presented for a significant evolution in the continuum spectra, and for the appearance on a time scale of several hundred ms of spectral features such as emission lines around 400 keV, absorption line (E less than 200 keV), and a high energy cutoff (E greater than 1 MeV).
