The spatial distribution and some characteristics of galactic X-ray sources are examined. It is shown that a population of weak X-ray sources with a radiance of roughly 10 to the 33rd power erg/sec can exist in the Galaxy. Some weak unidentified X-ray source with fluxes ranging from 2 to 6 keV in the catalog of Giacconi et al. (1973) may belong to this galactic population.
