The High Resoution Fly's Eye Stage 1 detector has been operational since
May 1997. In the past year, the detector has collected an equivalent
exposure to EHE neutrinos as the entire lifetime of the original Fly's
Eye detector. We present the results from an initial search for EHE
neutrinos detected by the Stage 1 HiRes detector.
